ive come to the conclusion that i really dont like thought catalogue (most of the time…sometimes they write things i like but 99% of the time they need to shhh)

here’s why

ok well the obvious is that its written by a bunch of pretentious 20-somethings who think they are so ~deep~ by romanticizing the aimlessness of their lives and acting like they are “above everyone” because they understand inde music and like cats and they are “discovering themselves” when really they just have no fucking clue what they are doing (and usually im fine with that but like in this case its just pretentious)

aND ALSO STOP MAKING IT SOUND LIKE SEX IS SOMETHING THAT IS EITHER TOTALLY A HUGE DEAL AND A MASSIVE STEPPING STONE ON SOME PRETENTIOUS PATH OF SELF DISCOVERY OR SOME SHAMEFUL THING TO COVER UP YOUR INSECURITES ((as i said not all articles are like this but i recently read one by some dingus that was exactly like this))

i noticed it in the article about like 50 things i learned it first year university or whatever (which, as a soon-to-be high school grad, i wanted to read)
